The Flatiron Spinning Wheel arrives flat in a box and needs to be put together. The directions are wonderful and easy to follow. If you are more of a visual learner, there are some great videos on YouTube to show you how to do it. One of the lovely things about this wheel is that it can be built with the flyer on either the right or left side. In this case, I built this wheel with the flyer on the right. If that works for the way you draft then you just need to sit down and spin. If you would prefer the flyer on the left, the wheel can easily be disassembled and rebuilt with the flyer on the opposite side.

The superb Flatiron Spinning Wheel is customizable; you can build it to your preference, with the flyer on the left or the right. With self-aligning bearings in the maidens, and a fully adjustable drive wheel, the whole system is sure to spin true. The clever quick release lever makes changing out bobbins trouble free.
The Flatiron Spinning Wheel can be set up in all three tension systems, Scotch tension, double drive, and Irish tension. The Flatiron comes with medium and fast whorls; the extra slow, slow, high, and super high speed whorls can also be used for a wide range of rations.
Included with each Schacht Flatiron Spinning Wheel are a poly drive band, threading hook, three bobbins, medium and fast whorls, and double drive band material.
Note: We do not generally keep this wheel in stock. In this case, we used this wheel as a shop sample so we have it on hand. I do not want to ship this wheel. You could come by the shop and pick up the wheel or we can try to figure out a way to meet.
