Hand carders are the ultimate carding tool for the spinner who wants complete control of the carding process. There's a lifetime of service in our hand carders. They have a small lip milled into the rear edge of the paddle to protect the card clothing from becoming worn and the handles have been precisely tenoned into the paddles for superior strength.
We carry various sizes with finer and coarser carding cloth. The finest carding cloth is for very short fibers such as cotton or down fibers such as cashmere or musk ox. The fine cloth is for fine wool such as Merino or CVM and the medium cloth is perfect for coarser wool. The carders are all curved for easy use. All the carders come in pairs except for the mini flick carder which is a single carder and is used against a coarse canvas cloth or leather patch laid over your leg.
