The New Year

I hope your winter festival, be it Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or any of the others, was safe and happy. I hope the food was wonderful and the sentiments supportive.  And now we are on to a new year.

We did not have a Thanksgiving celebration although our grilled turkey sandwiches were wonderful. And we skipped any and all New Years Eve celebrations and went to bed early.  Disclaimer here - that is our normal New Years Eve.

We did get together with our kids and grandkids for Christmas. It was different this year - shorter but just as wonderful.  We met at my daughter's new house on Christmas morning to open gifts. It was wonderful to see everyone since it had been months since we'd seen our grandkids, especially all together.  

My husband and I got Covid tests right before Christmas and have been quarantining ever since.  We assumed our results would be negative and they were but we were cautious of spreading anything to our family.

So here we are in 2021.  No one is happier than I am to see 2020 in the rearview mirror. We added a wonderful spinning wind pinwheel to the front of the studio for some great color, movement and joy. The new side view mirrors on the mule are just for safety.  I think my husband is worried about my backing up...
