New Colors of BFL/Silk Fiber!

Peggy and I had a great dye day last weekend and created six new colors of mixed BFL & Silk spinning fiber! All the colors are beautiful but I think I may be most partial to Klein. It's a mix of dark blues with a bit of brown. 

BFL is Blue Faced Leicester wool and in this case it's "mixed" which means the base fiber is a mix of white and a soft beige. It's beautiful in it's undyed state but when it's dyed, the color is wonderfully layered with much more depth. 

BFL is wonderful to spin. It's the softest of the long wools. When you blend it with silk, you get even more luster.
