New Beginning

And just when you think everything on the property is dead, they start to grow.  It is magnificent!

The roses that were naked little stems before now have leaves growing on them.

The pansies are up and smiling as if nothing happened.

The ferns are fighting back with a hundreds of fiddle heads popping out of the ground.

And bright wildflowers now dot the pastures.

The trees are starting to bloom, as they do this time of year regardless of past freezes.  The peach, red bud and Mexican plum are all getting ready for a bright display of color.

And the magnolia trees, that never seem to mind the cold winter, are still happily with us. I'm sure we will see new leaves on most of the rest of our trees soon.

I think we are well on our way to spring.
