Spring Update - Mother's Day

The property is looking fabulous, if I do say so myself.  My husband in mowing up a storm.  I don't think the pastures and yard have ever been mowed this consistently since we moved out here.

The gardenias are back in bloom.

We have several of the drift roses above in our garden.  The tiny red roses below were originally planted along the front fence of the front garden but we had to move them to a sunnier location.  Our oak trees have grown to be large and spreading and what once was a perfect place for roses is becoming a shade garden instead.

Here is what those oak trees look like.

The petunias will happily be with us until fall.

We are thankful for cooler weather this week and for intermittent rain that has kept everything green and growing.  The summer will be here soon enough.  I hope you are all having a wonderful Mother's Day.  Stay safe.
