It is that time of year. We need to get packing for Kid 'n Ewe. This show takes place at the Kendall County Fairgrounds in Boerne, TX. The fairground consists of corrugated metal buildings with cement floors, large overhead fans and heaters. It's the closest to an outdoor show that we do. If it's cold, bring something warm to wear. If it's hot, wear something cooler. Whatever flaws in climate control may be present, you can't get any better people all corralled in just three buildings. These are the best of the best and you need to come and enjoy.
Not only are there fabulous vendors selling all sorts of fiber related items from raw fleeces to yarn to dyes to baskets to finished hand made items, there are classes where you can learn just about anything related to fiber - blending fiber, carding or combing, spinning on a drop spindle, or a support spindle, finger knitting, knitting and then fixing those inevitable mistakes, dyeing yarn, felting, weaving on a triangle or rigid heddle loom. You get the idea. If you want to learn there is probably someone here who is ready to teach.
We are packing up the trailer today and will be on the road on Thursday Nov. 9th so we can be all set up and ready to sell when the show opens on Friday Nov. 10th at noon. Please come by and say hello. And be ready to be amazed at all the vendors and classes!
