Contemporary Handweavers of Houston Fall Sale

I hope you have saved time over the weekend of October 26th - 28th to come by the Guild House and check out our fall sale.  The Contemporary Handweavers of Houston Guild has about 125 members, incredibly talented all.  This sale is the only outlet for many of these talented weavers, spinners and dyers.  They work all year long creating wonderful scarves, shawls, kitchen towels, Christmas ornaments, rugs, jewelry, baskets, cat toys and hand dyed fiber and yarn.  It is truly amazing to see the creativity and ingenuity of these talented folks.  I always come away with great new ideas for patterns and color combinations.

This sale has been held during November for the last several years.  This year it's a month earlier so all of us have been working hard to get ready.   I have linen face cloths still on the loom so I'm weaving like a crazy person to get them finished.  I've already picked up the goat's milk soap and I have the organza bags so all is ready as soon as I finish the weaving.
