Cleaning Out

We got rid of a lot of stuff when we moved from our 12 acres out in the country back into town. My weaving studio was full with four large floor looms, benches and tables, book cases and shelves all full. We moved into our much smaller home nearly two years ago and for all of that time, I have wanted to clean out my library of craft books. I have books on spinning and weaving, dyeing and knitting, project planning for Fair Isle knitting, history of weaving and much more. I have always loved buying books. In hindsight, I have probably loved buying books more than I loved reading them.

Make no mistake. I have books that I have poured over and tried to learn everything they contained. But I also have books that I read lightly only until my interest waned. And books that I just looked at the pictures. And sadly, books I never even opened once I got them home.

The chaos finally got the best of me and I've been cleaning. But also cleaning out. I've already added a couple dozen books to the website. Currently they have little or no description and no photos although I intend to add both over the next few months. In the meantime, if you see anything that interests you just let me know and I can send you pictures and whatever information you want.

In the process of organizing the library, I've come across several odds and ends that need to find new homes also. I have three Ken Ledbetter drop spindles that I'll be photographing and you will soon see on the website. And whatever else I come across.
