Bright New Yarn Colors

Peggy was out nice and early on Sunday morning for a dye day.  I had done myself proud by getting pots filled with water and on the burners to heat before she got here.  We soaked the yarn and got busy with color.

I had made an executive decision that we weren't going to dye cotton yarn but we managed to dye seven different yarns including two be bought last fall to try out.  Those two we will knit or crochet into something to test and maybe add them to our list of yarns.

Much as we love variegated yarns, this year's big thing is tonals so that's what we did. We used bright colors - red, blue, green and purple - and got lovely yarns with lights and darks.  We also ended up with some speckled yarns which are just fun.  They are the perfect yarn for simple simple patterns.

These yarns will start to appear on the website as Peggy gets them re-skeined and I get them tagged.
