Yarn Makers Trunk Show

We had a grand time at Yarntopia yesterday.  Sheryl Means held a Yarn Makers Trunk Show and I think we all had a great time.  There were seven vendors if I'm counting correctly and taken together we had quite a nice selection of yarn.  There was lots of hand dyed commercial yarn as well as stunning hand spun.  Yes, some of that stunning hand spun was ours!  This is no time to be too modest.  Sheryl has a great group of ladies who come and knit in the shop on Saturday morning and they were all there yesterday.  It was fun and totally enjoyable.

Somehow I remembered to bring all our yarn and the appropriate table covers and display baskets but neglected to bring something to work on while I was there.  Of course, that meant I would need some needles and some yarn to play with.  I bought a fun ball of yarn in blue/yellow/white/grey from Night Owl Fibers - one of the other vendors and started a scarf.  I'm just playing with the colors and doing a different knitting pattern for each color.  It's quick and easy and fun.  I got a nice start on it yesterday and it may become my evening knitting project.

This morning I spent unpacking the car and getting all our yarn put away.  It is such a delight when the show is so short and close to home.  It sure makes it easy.
