Wensleydale wool is commonly used for fine fabrics and linings because of its exceptional length (8 to 12") and it's natural luster. The sheep are large and distinctive with loose ringlets dropping to the ground. This breed is commonly crossed with other breeds to add hardiness, size and wonderful fleece characteristics to it's offspring. This skein of yarn is tightly spun and plied so it can easily be used as warp in weaving as well as for knitting.
