CVM X Wensleydale Yarn
When you cross a CVM (California Variegated Mutant) sheep with a Wensleydale sheep you get an animal with soft wool and longer staple length. Sometimes you end up with very long staple length - more towards the Wensleydale end of the spectrum; sometimes you end with just a bit longer staple length - more towards the CVM end of the spectrum. In this case, this fiber is every bit as soft as a great CVM but with a staple length of 4-5" rather than the more standard 3-4". We have this fiber for sale if you want to try it out.
