I don't know the background of these napkins except to say that they were obviously loved and used. They came to us white and we dyed them with indigo because I love indigo napkins. There are three styles, all similar in size and design and all three have a beautiful eyelet edge.
The Plain napkins are just that - plain. They have a lovely eyelet edge on all four sides.
The Cutwork napkins have a corner design that looks remarkably like Bronson Lace with an inlaid flower design along with the eyelet border.
The Monogrammed ones may or may not actually be monogrammed but they have some embroidery that looks like an "M" to me. These are the most worn of the napkins with a couple spots that are frayed.
