I have had several people tell me they struggle with picking out yarns for a scarf, or they can't decide what to get for the handy rigid heddle weaver they know and love. Here ya go! These kits each contain two different skeins of yarn, already wound into center pull balls and ready to put on your (or someone else's) small loom. We sell Cricket looms so if you also want to buy the loom, check them out elsewhere on this website.
Each of these kits will make one very long scarf or two reasonable sized scarves. In most cases, you can use either yarn for the warp or the weft. If either of the yarns has slubs or lumps large enough to have difficulties going through the heddle, it will be noted on the tag.
In a couple of cases, the yarns were both spun from the same yarn batt but in different ways. It makes a nice change of texture in the weaving. Or they are simply different yarns that will go beautifully together in a scarf. Almost all these yarns are hand spun.
If you have additional questions, just give us a call. We would love to help you make the right choice for a beautiful scarf!
