Houston Fiber Festival
The Houston Fiber Festival is coming up next weekend. It runs from 2 pm on Friday through 6 pm on Saturday. If you didn't make it to the first annual show last summer you missed a great time so be sure to come by for this one. It will be fabulous!
Everything about this show is wonderful. The location is the Berry Center in Cypress, TX. It's a huge facility with lots of room for the vendor booths and the teaching rooms. It is well air conditioned with plenty of sweet smelling bathrooms (always a plus!) and this year there will be a functioning concession stand. Last year we had a hard time finding places for lunch within a reasonable drive. This year the food and drink will be on hand so eating should be smooth and easy. Did I mention there is lots of easy parking for both attendees and for vendors? There will be plenty of tables available to sit and knit and chat and laugh with old friends and new. The CHH, the Contemporary Handweavers of Houston will again man the winding station so if you can't wait to get home to wind your new yarn into balls you can do it right here.
There will be about 40 vendors with everything from yarn to fiber to tools to finished products and there should be some stunning pottery. There will be lots to look at! We are in booth #31 - that's the center aisle in the back half of the ballroom. Please stop by and say hello!
